The Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site (PPG), in Shelby Township, is the place to be on Sunday, October 15, from 1-5 PM. “There will be something for everyone, from beautifully restored Packards to classic vehicles of all makes” says PPG Event Coordinator, Mary Anne Demo. “ There will even be an opportunity to ride in a classic Packard.” continues Demo. Additionally, Gar Wood's 1932 Race Boat – the historic 38 foot Miss America X will be on display, capturing the hearts of boat enthusiasts, too. Several types of Food Trucks will be on the grounds, satisfying most every appetite. The famous Fall Open House Bake Sale will be back for sweet tooth enjoyment. Johnny Trudell's Band, featuring Jazz Singer, Meri Slaven, will be playing live music, thanks to Sponsor, Ankara Industries. Also, back by popular demand, will be a vendor area filled with a large variety of interesting merchandise, providing an unique shopping experience. Plus, the PPG Gift Shop will be open, so a memory or two can be taken home. Tours of PPG's Albert Kahn designed buildings, original to the 17 acre site, will round out the event.
