Description
Join us for an enlightening presentation by Don Callihan on the threat of tetanus during WWI and the heroic role horses stabled at Parke-Davis in Rochester played in mitigating that threat. The talk will include a brief history of Parke-Davis, background information on tetanus and its causes, and highlights the significant contributions of these horses. Don Callihan, former director of Engineering & Maintenance at Parke-Davis/Parkedale Pharmaceuticals until his retirement in 2000, has a keen interest in history. He is the editor of The Museum Corner, the newsletter of the Berkley Historical Museum, and has written for the Royal Oak Historical Society. Don't miss this unique historical exploration.
