Don't miss the Harvest Festival at Shelby Farmers Market (SFM) on Saturday, Oct. 21, as it closes out the 2017 market season while celebrating the fall harvest. The Packard Proving Grounds Historic Site (PPG) will be ablaze with seasonal color; tasty and decorating favorites, pumpkins, corn stalks, straw, Indian corn, winter squash and gourds plus syrups, jams, jellies, honey, eggs and fresh baked breads. Amish farmers from the Mio, Michigan area will have frozen beef, pork, chicken and lamb products available, plus you can plan an order for fresh turkeys for Thanksgiving. They will also have a good selection of Becky’s baked goods and farm fresh eggs. Also, free children's crafts and games, music by Walter Hooper of A man named Hooper, historic site tours @ 11 and noon
