Description
Macomb County Chamber in collaboration with PurposePoint and Neway Creative will be hosting our second leadership series.
This program offers the opportunity for 30 local leaders to walk through a six-month leadership journey together, learning insights that will help them engage, apply, and develop their leadership skills, while forging life-long relationships within the Macomb County business community.
The 30-person cohort will meet for a half-day once per month from September 2021 - April 2022. Classes will be held in-person or virtually depending on the guidelines at the time.
Our talented faculty will consist of:
Dr. Josh Wymore
Dr. Josh Wymore has been investing in leaders for more than 15 years because he believes better leadership is the solution to our world’s greatest challenges. A student and practitioner of great leadership, Josh is obsessed with combining data and intuition to fuel continuous growth for leaders. As a coach, trainer, educator, and speaker, Josh makes the complicated simple and actionable for leaders around the world. Before starting his own consulting practice, Josh obtained his Ph.D. from Penn State and ran a multi-million dollar profit center at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, MI. Josh joined the PurposePoint team in 2018, and has been coaching leaders using CliftonStrengths since 2005. In that time, has used CliftonStrengths to build college curriculum, strengthen his own virtual teams, and equip his clients with insight for their own organizational development.
Coryne Forest
Coryne Forest is an engaging and inspirational facilitator, known for weaving theory, practical application and humorous anecdotes into all her engagements. Prior to serving in her current role as Director of Training and Development for PurposePoint, Coryne spent over three decades at a large government R&D center, serving in various roles that culminated in becoming the deputy director of organization development. It is there where she honed her skills and found her purpose: helping people achieve their leadership potential. She obtained her Master’s in Engineering and Industrial Management from NTU. Coryne has created and delivered dozens of proprietary leadership workshops, and is a certified executive coach that logs hundreds of hours coaching every year. She has a contagious passion for professional development and finds true joy in making an impact by living in her purpose.
Adam Ritchie
Adam Ritchie has a passion for connecting people to the ideas, skills, and resources they need to live a life of significance. He has been blessed with a dynamic career, spanning across many industries and roles. His formal education in Engineering Graphics and Design from Western Michigan University and a Master’s in Business Administration from Walsh College had given him the foundation to build his dynamic career. The first 6 years of his career were spent in a variety of engineering roles, working on military defense vehicles and heavy trucks. After achieving his MBA, he transitioned to sale, program management, and business development roles within the automotive, agricultural & construction equipment, and consumer products industries. The last 5 years of his career have fueled his passion and love for teaching and leadership development. While working with a manufacturing company, he was introduced to the concepts of culture development and servant leadership. This introduction was the purpose point for Adam that started his focus shift from success to significance. Adam joined the PurposePoint team as the Director of Client Partnership and Head of Program Development in March of 2020 to follow his calling to help others serve those they influence.
