Join Rosann Kovalcik (owner, WBU Grosse Pointe Woods) on a bird walk through the beautiful grounds of Detroit's Historic Elmwood Cemetery, rich with history, habitat, and of course - birds! This is a beautiful place, and Detroit's first certified arboretum. There's no better way to spend a fall evening, so come help us BRING PEOPLE AND NATURE TOGETHER! After the bird walk, there will be a regroup and species tally, along with light refreshments in the chapel area. This event is free of charge and open to the public. Please wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes and weather-appropriate dress. Bring binoculars if you have them, though there are a few pairs available to borrow if needed. Please RSVP by emailing Joannie Capuano at jcapuano@elmcem.org. See http://www.elmwoodhistoriccemetery.org/historic-elmwood-foundation/community-events/ for a list of other Elmwood events and help celebrate the beauty of historic Detroit.
