DESCRIPTION:Walsh College will host its annual International Day on Thursday\, May 25\, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Troy campus. The event is sponsored by the College's International Student Organization (ISO)\, and is complimentary and open to all. The College will celebrate diversity\, and share delicious cuisines\, music\, entertainment\, and traditions. Attendees are encouraged to wear cultural attire and to participate in a fashion show. International food\, music\, and dancing are also scheduled. The event also provides an opportunity for networking\; raffles and prizes will also be available. This is the seventh annual International Day and the ISO strives to add new activities each time. This year\, Walsh student Jeff Qi\, who is an officer of the ISO\, will be demonstrating Chinese brush writing. "International Day is the biggest and most anticipated event each year for the ISO\," said Liesl Scullen\, coordinator\, International Student Advising\, and staff advisor for ISO. "It is a celebration of diversity\, cultures\, and inclusion. "The ISO's mission is to encourage friendships and inclusion\, and we try to involve the entire Walsh student community\, which is why International Day is so important to us. We welcome all students\, College employees\, and members of the community to join us for good food\, music\, fun\, and to learn about different cultures." The ISO at Walsh College advocates bringing different cultures and societies together to encourage friendships.
