DESCRIPTION:This session explores the problems rental units and "Air-BnBs" create for modern condominium associations\, the potential adverse impact of rentals on associations and best practices for resolving these issues. We will also discuss the legality of rental bans\, rental caps and "one-year ownership before renting" provisions under the Michigan Condominium Act with an eye towards drafting enforceable and practical bylaw amendments to regulate rentals.
